Effective date: July 28, 2026
This policy explains how the vroomist.com website handles your data. It covers this website only — the Vroomist iOS app is covered by its own separate privacy policy, which you receive through the App Store listing.
The website is operated from Hungary and is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Nothing. The website sets no cookies, loads no analytics and stores nothing in your browser until you accept analytics through the cookie banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics script is loaded and no data leaves your browser.
As with any website, our hosting provider (Firebase Hosting, Google) processes the technical request data needed to deliver the page — your IP address, the requested URL, your browser's user agent and the time of the request. This is server-side logging inherent to serving a web page; we do not use it to build profiles.
If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-1M8W7Q815F). It sets its own cookies and collects pseudonymous usage data:
We do not collect your name, email address or any directly identifying information through the website. We run no advertising, no ad-network tags and no cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
Your consent decision is stored locally in your browser under the key vroomist_consent and is remembered for six months, after which the banner asks again. This is a technical necessity for honouring your choice and is not used for tracking.
Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics only after you accept. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the Cookie settings button in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops further collection immediately; you can also delete the cookies through your browser settings.
The legal basis for analytics is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). The legal basis for serving the website and its request logs is our legitimate interest in delivering and securing the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Google Analytics and Firebase Hosting are operated by Google, which may process data outside the European Economic Area. Google relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for such transfers.
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then deleted automatically. Your consent record stays in your browser for six months, or until you clear your browser storage.
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; object to or restrict its processing; withdraw consent at any time; and receive your data in a portable form. Because website analytics data is pseudonymous, we may need additional information from you to locate it.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority — in Hungary, the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH).
We may update this policy. When we do, we update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes to what we collect will reset the cookie banner so you can make a fresh choice.
